Information on our control unit's network communications

Article contents

An overview for the network administrator and technician connecting the original SmartSystem control unit. It distinguishes outbound device connections from services available on the unit itself. Specific services depend on firmware and configuration.

Connections from SmartSystem

ServiceDestination and protocolRole
NTP time0.debian.pool.ntp.org, 1.debian.pool.ntp.orgTime synchronization. Servers can be changed in the configuration.
TecoRouteroute.tecomat.com, TCP 8080 or TLS 8443Remote access according to the unit's configuration. The original overview also mentions an ICMP connection check.

Local services on the original unit

The following ports describe the unit's original interface. They are not a list of ports to expose to the internet. The specific configuration determines which service interfaces are available.

61643 TCPEncrypted Mosaic connection
80 TCPWeb server and Firmware Updater
443 TCPHTTPS web server
8889 TCPMonitoring the central unit update
8080 TCPRedirect to 8443
8443 TCPConfiguration website
8888 TCPFirmware update through the configuration website
137–139 UDP/TCPSamba, network drive sharing
20 and 21 TCPFTP server
5010 TCPOptional PLCComS server
5353 UDPAvahi, local discovery. The service can be disabled in configuration.

Preparing the connection

When designing network rules, specify the unit model and firmware, services used, remote access method and destination system. Request complete parameters for the specific system through AgeVolt technical support. The procedure for connecting a compatible station is in the article How to connect a charger to the MyAgeVolt digital platform.
