How to connect a charger to the MyAgeVolt digital platform

MyAgeVolt supports connecting compatible charging stations via OCPP, including stations from other manufacturers. We will verify the specific model and available features when connecting it.

If you own such a charger and would like, for example, to 

  • collect charging data, 
  • generate regular automated reports, 
  • share the charging station with the public or employees on your own terms,
  • manage entire vehicle fleets effectively,

then you are in the right place. 

STEP 1: Setting the URL

The charging station needs to be configured with the OCPP server URL. AgeVolt charging stations have it configured at the factory, so if you have one of our chargers, you can skip this step. 

The exact procedure for setting the URL is usually described in the installation manual, most often using a mobile app or the charging station’s web interface. If you know before installation that you want to connect your charger to our digital platform, we recommend asking the installation technician to configure the URL.

AgeVolt OCPP server URLs

The server URL consists of the connection type, hostname, port and path. These may be configured separately on the station, but the following format is most commonly used: ConnectionType://Hostname:Port/Path/

 

Secure charging station connection:

 Preferred connection.

 wss://api.agevolt.com:443/ocpp/

Connection type: wss 

Hostname: api.agevolt.com

Port: 443

Path: /ocpp

 

Unsecured charging station connection:

Use only if the first option does not work.

ws://ocpp.agevolt.com:80/ 

Connection type: ws

Hostname: ocpp.agevolt.com

Port: 80

STEP 2: Creating a MyAgeVolt account

Sign in or create an account in MyAgeVolt. If you need help with the initial setup, contact the helpdesk.

STEP 3: Creating a charging station in the MyAgeVolt portal 

Assign the station to the correct Space according to your permissions. For help with adding and configuring it, contact helpdesk@agevolt.com.
